Dear friends and supporters of the needy people of Myanmar!
Unfortunately, nothing has improved in Myanmar. The dictatorship has caused an economic downturn. For the people of Myanmar, this means that food prices continue to rise. In contrast, wages, which were already very low, remain unchanged. This imbalance cannot lead to anything good.
Since its inception, our association has supported approximately 15–20 families. Most of them unfortunately have debts, despite receiving monthly support from us. Due to our donation income and our strategy of helping as many people as possible, it is very difficult for our families to manage their lives adequately.
Given this overall situation, we would like to invite you to consider regularly supporting a specific family. We cannot publish photos of the families publicly on our homepage. However, we can privately share photos and detailed information about the respective family. This means that anyone who supports a family will truly know about that family. Monthly support for one family requires €130–€150. Since this can be a significant amount for one person, I really like the group financing system we have already practiced. A group of 5 to max. 10 people commits to supporting one family for 12 months. Each group member contributes a smaller monthly amount of €15, €20, or €25. The total amount is transferred by the group leader to our donation account and paid out to the family in Myanmar upon receipt.
Our association’s goal for 2026 is to establish 20 such small groups. Currently, there is only one such small group.
Our other association activities, such as the sale of bags, rosaries, and bracelets, require new regular customers. Currently, revenues are too low. We cannot ship the finished goods stored in Bangkok to Austria. Export and import taxes as well as freight costs are very high. This means that production in Myanmar has almost come to a standstill – unfortunately!!!
I would like to thank all godmothers and godfathers of orphaned children! The help is reaching them and giving hope!
In solidarity and gratitude for all prayers for me during my heart surgery on July 6 in Vienna.
Blessings from the Salzkammergut, where I will soon begin my cardiac rehabilitation.
